You should read the pH of the water, which should be between 6.5 and 7.5 for fresh water fishes and for marine tropical fishes between 8 and 8.3. The best water temperature is 76 to 80 F.

The common accessories are live plants (source of natural air to the water), gravel or sandy stones (serve as a good fish bed), isolation units, hoods and canopies.
